Chris EVans:

Hailing from Woods Bay on the eastern shoreline of Flathead Lake, Montana, Chris Evans is foot-stomping, retro-rocking, soulful singer/songwriter/guitarist kicking out boogies, ballads, and singing the blues with a 50-grit sandpaper baritone voice that is as honest and rugged as his lifestyle. Deep in his 20 year stint working in the woods as a logger, Evans met Yaak Valley musician and fellow logger, Alan Lane. They quickly formed a blues/roots duo under the moniker, 17 Mile and played all over Montana including The Top Hat (Missoula) and Red Ants Pants Music festival (White Sulphur Springs). After Alan's death, Evans was determined to carry on his musical legacy and hit it harder than ever with his jam band, Buck's Frog Pond, keeping audiences on their feet at venues across NW Montana. With a lifetime of unbelievable experiences, at his core, Evans is a storyteller, with a writing style reminiscent of Kristofferson or Lightfoot. Chris is currently in the studio recording his debut solo album with a cast of some of his best friends and some of the finest musicians in the Flathead Valley. The album is slated for a mid-2021 release, and those listeners who appreciate the vintage sounds of the 60's and 70's with the warmth and punch of modern production, will not be disappointed.
